When a company rolls out a new corporate strategy, it is key to include staff in the full process. Not only inform them, but let them participate so the strategy will be accepted faster.
For the Business Line Water we developed the concept ‘talks around the water cooler’. The water cooler is the spot where people come together to gossip. We created spaces around water coolers in Royal HaskoningDHV offices worldwide to motivate people to discuss the new strategy. From those talks feedback was given back to the board so they can improve the strategy where needed.
